More Halloween Fun!

Here are some more pictures taken on the actual holiday. (Since Halloween fell on a Friday this year, we had a few more activities and parties going on than normal.) Ok, so the word "activities" last year meant passing out candy and hoping someone we knew would be able to see Lizzy's pink leopard costume I just couldn't pass up. Good thing we actually had costumes this year! (Keith kept asking if we needed to get any costumes--"Only twenty days left!" "Only twelve days left before the party! Are you going to be able to finish our costumes?")

This year for Halloween, we really had beautiful weather, which is not normal for Utah! (I hear most years tricker treaters costumes are barely visible under huge coats.) So it was perfect for pictures.
After pictures we went tricker treating at the mall, which was fun, but I was exhausted by the end. Lizzy loved holding her pumpkin pail until it started getting heavy. Then she was thrilled to learn that sucker she was given tasted REALLY good--through the wrapper, so we had to give in and unwrap it for her. So far that's the only candy she's had, but she now knows about candy....that's a little scary!

Caveman Family

This year we decided to be a caveman family for Halloween. We were inspired by a previous hair-do of Lizzy's we affectionately call "the samari" because it sticks straight up. We thought it would look cute with a bone attached to get the Pebbles Flinstone look. And yes, we used real chicken bones...I could not find any in the stores.

My 1st Birthday!

Lizzy is one year old! I can't believe it, time goes by so fast! I was so glad that we could celebrate on her actual birthday too since Keith had his class cancelled for the evening.
We had a small little barbeque in our front yard with a few neighbors and Keith's sister and her kids. It was fun. Lizzy had a ball in her ball pit while the neighborhood girls shared their dolls and bracelets with her.

And even though I was nervous, my first attempt at a birthday cake didn't turn out too bad. I think she liked the cake too, but she enjoyed her dinner even better and was a little full.

She enjoyed all the help she got unwrapping presents and loved playing with them when things settled down.

And after it was all over, she was tired out. But it was a fun day! Now she is enjoying being one and everything that it brings. She is growing up before my eyes.

BYU Family!!!

We are still here in Cougar County and football season is starting up again. Go Cougars! This picture was taken last year during a visit to see family in California and Lizzy has changed a lot since then. Unfortunately, during one of our many trips recently I misplaced my camera cord and can't get the pictures off my camera. I haven't exhausted all my resources yet in hopes that I will find it, but until then I don't have many recent pictures on my computer. :(
